Trustees
Marc J. Bloostein is a partner of Choate Wealth where his practice includes estate planning, trust and estate administration and serving as a trustee. He was a legal advisor to Mr. and Mrs. Adams.
Edward P. Lawrence is a retired partner of Ropes & Gray LLP and served as Mr. Adams’ attorney. He is the former Chairman of the Board of Partners Healthcare System and Massachusetts General Hospital. He is also an Honorary Trustee, McLean Hospital.
Janet C. Taylor is the Trust’s Chair and an independent Philanthropic Advisor. After serving as President of Associated Grant Makers, she directed Raytheon’s corporate giving program while Mr. Adams was a member of the Raytheon board of directors. For twenty years, she was affiliated with Ropes & Gray LLP as a Philanthropic Advisor and assisted Beatrice Adams with her charitable interests.

Executive Director
Tom Boutureira is an experienced grantmaker having previously served as Senior Community Partner and Director of Change Management with the Elmina B. Sewall Foundation in Maine for the last decade. He has held leadership positions with The Conservation Fund and the Downeast Coastal Conservancy in Maine following three years of service as a Peace Corp Volunteer in Bolivia. Tom will begin his position on July 28, 2025.

Karen Darcy is a pediatric nurse practitioner who retired from Boston Children’s Hospital where she was director of their Child Behavioral Health Policy and Advocacy Program and co-leader of the successful Children’s Mental Health Campaign.
Janet Henry is a trustee of the Maine-based Morton-Kelly Charitable Trust and is the retired President of the Maine Philanthropy Center. She previously served as Vice President of the Maine Community Foundation.
